The five star rating is for one service (massage) and one person (Anouk). Anouk is the best massage therapist in the DC metro area. She can help relieve stress, muscle soreness from exercise, or tension from an injury - whatever ails you. If you are in Bethesda, and in need of some TLC - get thee to Aveda!

I saw Michael at the Aveda in Bethesda and he is brilliant! I went in after a terrible, horrific highlight at another un-named salon in NoVa. After reading good reviews of Michael, I decided to give it a try and see if he could fix my yellow, brassy, chunky, horribly ugly highlights.

He is a magician.

I came out with totally different hair, and exactly what I wanted the first time around from the moron in VA. Aside from being highly skilled, Michael is a joy to talk to. I will, without a doubt, go back to see him for as long I live.

I LOVE Aveda products (Shampure, Botanical Kinetics lotion and toning mist) and more importantly love my sister who is a massage therapist here. Ask for Natalie she is awesome. Nice spa, never had my hair done here but I have had several massages and the Caribbean Body Treatment and loved every one. Front desk staff can be a little stupid but then again half of them are still in high school and who wasn't a little stupid in high school.

My sister got me a facial here for my birthday and it was very nice. Mary Jo is the person I went to and also the one my sister always sees....she is awesome. You get to pick out your own scents for your facial mask and the whole process is very relaxing. I also like the atmosphere of the bethesda location and the people who work there are nice. I love the fact that Aveda attempts to be green and make natural products.

I highly recommend the Bethesda Aveda Salon & Spa. Like most salons in Bethesda, it can be a bit pricey - but they are worth it. Their staff is professional, fun, and funky - but without the snotty vibe that you find at some of the 'it' spots. I recommend that you ask for Jessica - she's aces. She knows hair and she knows how to cut for it. I've got course kinky hair that most people don't know how to handle and she gave me a great cut.

From the initial greeting on the telephone,"It's a beautiful day at Aveda", one knows that the Aveda Spa experience in Bethesda is going to be a positive and happy one. I am a regular at Aveda-- From my excellent haircuts with Garegin to my fabulous facials and leg waxing with Marjie and Sherri to my nurturing manicures and pedicures with Roa and my relaxing massages with Melanie. The Aveda Salon on Bethesda Avenue is a TOTAL spa experience. I can have it all in just one location. From the moment I enter, the greeting is warm and upbeat and the staff efficient. As compared to other salons that I have been to in the past, at Aveda, I have never had to wait for any of my appointments. The salon is immaculate. The quality of the services is excellent. Marjie and Ray, the owners, are sticklers for detail and nothing escapes their attention. As harried and rushed as I may be upon entering the salon, the wonderful fragrances of the Aveda products are so soothing and uplifting, that I immediately feel renewed and re-energized. I am addicted to their products-- what would life be without my Aveda Hand and Foot Relief and the Rosemary Mint Hand and Bodywash?! Thank you both, Marjie and Ray for bringing us this wonderful spa experience

I am one of those guys who is particular about his hair and once I find someone exceptional I hang on for as long as I can. I have had my hair cut by Dina for over seven years and every cut is at least as good as the last - and most seem better. She is just that good.

I was looking for a colorist that could immulate the hightlights I had done in Arizona. I had heard great things about Aveda so I took my chances and called for an appointment. The receptionist was very informative and extremely nice. I told her my color needs and she placed me with Ramona. I had the most amazing experience with Ramona. She listened to what I wanted and even took the time out to suggest I get a Keritin strengthening treatment to strengthen my previously highlighted hair. My ticket was pricey because of all the work I got done but it was worth every penny and more. I left with the most beautiful highlights and hair that felt like silk. I got exactly what I wanted and more. Beautiful healthy hair and an honest stylist who knows what shes doing.

I have curly hair and am super picky about where and who cuts my hair, one day i was bored and sick of not having a good steady stylist when i cold called aveda and asked for an appointment with someone who cuts curly hair. They booked me with Michael and I have been going to him ever since, he charges $80 a cut which is a bit pricey but his cuts last for up to 6 months- i "cheated" on him once because i thought he was getting a bit too pricey and regretted it.

The entire salon is great and Michael especially is awesome and I have never had a bad hair experience since
