Juan is a graduate of the Aveda Institute in Washington, DC. He began his career in the industry over 20 years ago after transitioning from a career as an art director and graphic designer. After five years in the industry, he started his path to become an educator with Aveda expanding his passion for Texture, Cutting & Styling. Juan’s talents have been seen globally both onstage and offstage at Aveda Congress, Aveda Master Jam, Aveda Virtual Texture Jam, and NYC Fashion Week. His passion for art and design began at a young age, sparked by his time growing up in Newark, NJ, and New York City. He was surrounded by the strong women in his family and their unabashed expression of style and culture. As a Master Stylist and Aveda Purefessional for Curls, Coils, Cutting & Style, Juan finds inspiration in helping his guests find out what their needs are to create life balance.
